Sue's 60th - and other news

Peter and Di came round for a meal shortly after we arrived back from South Africa. Yes, they were subjected to the slideshow.

The Portsmouth Mob came for meal the Monday before Sue's 60th and brought with them balloons, cards, pressies and much more. Sue's birthday started early.

Continuing the run up to Sue's birthday Jane and Ron came round on the Friday. It was great to see their photos of New Zealand.

Sue on her birthday, Easter Sunday, wanted to go to Friars Cliff and have a walk followed by a hot chocolate. In the evening we went to The Crown in Bransgore for a meal. The pub is newly refurbished and the food is very good.

Recently I have been out and about checking a walk I am to lead in the near future. The walk is for the New Forest Ramblers and Verwood Ramblers (two separate groups) It is about 5 miles in length. At the same time I was looking for a place to hide a geocache. I've been meaning to put one out in Bratley Wood which is one of the older woodlands in the New Forest. The geocache went live on Wednesday evening and on one of my checking walks I bumped into the first person to find the geocache. Two days later 4 groups of geocachers had found it.

I walked Peter and Di's dog, Bailey, twice this week. Here he is enjoying the water.
